Bus has broken HVAC

Back in November I had to take a bus to go visit family for Thanksgiving, then it was a 3-hour bus ride, about an hour past my comfort limit, however all in all the experience wasn’t terrible.

I was absolutely enthusiastic to find that my bus was next to empty, meaning I got both seats in my section to myself instead of having to sit next to a stranger.

I brought a pillow and a blanket along with my carryon items so I could get comfortable, although I wish I had brought a heavier blanket. When they first loaded everyone onto the bus it was cold, even though I assumed things would overheated up after my associate and I had started moving and the bus’s boiler was turned on. However, after about half an hour I noticed that the boiler still hadn’t kicked on on the bus and that the vents weren’t blowing any air at all, but the bus driver didn’t say anything however as my associate and I neared the next station everyone was asked to take their stuff and get off. Everything was transferred to another bus, taking about 15 minutes, and my associate and I were off again. The driver explained that after my associate and I had left the previous station she noticed the bus’s HVAC unit wasn’t functioning. There wasn’t an available bus to switch to back there so my associate and I had to get to the next station to switch. She apologized for the cold while in the first part of the trip, at least, but she wasn’t to blame for the boiler not working. The rest of the trip went by without incident, and the heating on the new bus made things much more tolerable.
