Because he was going to be there for 2 more mornings, Mark asked Lisa and Jim if they could adjust the thermostat to 70 degrees while he was there
Due to the pandemic, Mark hadn’t seen his childhood friends Lisa and Jim for about 3 years. Neither of them were traveling and then after the pandemic. Life happened and they weren’t able to make time. Well, recently, Mark decided to spend some time with them. And especially because they had moved into their new apartment right before the pandemic hit. So, it made sense for him to make the trip to see their new home. Their new apartment is great. It’s a 3-bedroom apartment that has lots of bells and whistles. For the most part, everything went well when Mark visited except that the first night he couldn’t sleep. Unfortunately, they had the thermostat for the air conditioner set higher than what he was used to at home. His ideal sleeping temperature is around 70 degrees and anything higher than that is too moderate for him. So, the first night was restless and Mark wasn’t sure where the thermostat was in the house. He didn’t want to wake anyone up, so he just did what he could to try to remain comfortable. The next day, he asked his friends about the air conditioning and they mentioned that they have their thermostat set to 72 degrees. It might not sound like a huge difference, however blatantly, 3 degrees can make a difference in whether or not Mark gets a fantastic night’s sleep. Because he was going to be there for 2 more mornings, Mark asked Lisa and Jim if they could adjust the thermostat to 70 degrees while he was there. Of course, they were cheerful to do so, and he slept like a baby for the rest of his time there.
