I live in a recognizably cold region and I know living here while in a time without this innovative technology wouldn’t have been very pleasant
A friend and I were talking the other afternoon and one thing to led to another, which ended up with the topic of conversation being time travel. Or, more recognizably, they asked me if I would rather travel to the past or the future if given the occasion to, and why, then my answer, without hesitation, was the future, and before I could explain myself they started to go on about how if I went to the past instead I could meet so several historic people or witness history-changing events firsthand. However, I still stand by my answer of the future. I explained it to them in very self-explanatory terms: I wouldn’t want to go to a time without heating or air conditioner. It may seem like a very silly reason, however I’m sticking with it. HVAC unit has changed lives. I would much rather see the future, where comfortable temperature control is very likely assured, instead of the past where it may not be depending on the time period. Air conditioners and boilers were certainly brilliant inventions and the technology within them keeps advancing to allow us to control the temperature within our environment to meet our own preferences. I live in a recognizably cold region and I know living here while in a time without this innovative technology wouldn’t have been very pleasant. Actually, I doubt I would want to visit the past and lose any technology that enhances our level of comfort. I like things as they are. The convenience of technology will constantly win out for me over witnessing history.
