I think I've got a problem with my thermostat

Since everyone was advising getting a smart thermostat this year, I bought one in the summer.

My smart thermostat wasn’t functioning as well as everyone else’s smart thermostat, and it was giving me problems, which was the issue I was finding. It wasn’t functioning properly, and this was my experience. It didn’t seem to matter what temperature I would set it to, it seemed to be unaffected. I was extremely perplexed by this because I was supposed to be working perfectly smoothly without any issues, both according to everyone else and my instruction manual, but I wasn’t. I made the decision to call my local heating and air conditioning company to come out and take a look at it to see if they could figure out what was wrong because I was beginning to think that perhaps it was my heating or air conditioning system that was having problems rather than my thermostat. Because I didn’t want to have to pay a repair fee to have my heating or air conditioning system fixed if I didn’t have to, I was really hoping that it wasn’t my heating or air conditioning system. The HVAC technician examined it when he arrived, and after determining that the smart thermostat wasn’t functioning properly, he concluded that it didn’t require replacement. After that, I returned my smart thermostat to the store where I had bought it, and I had to pay for a new one. After the new one was installed, it functioned perfectly. Actually, the only one I had that wasn’t functioning properly was that one. The best news was that my HVAC system was in excellent condition.
