So I did something dumb, I did something my wife told me that I shouldn’t do and I got pretty badly hurt because I didn’t listen to her.
What a bad thing I did by going and trying to repair our own air conditioning unit. I know, I feel it’s a really bad idea and I should not have attempted it. When it comes to heating and cooling, apparently it should be left to the professionals. However I didn’t want to wait to have a heater and A/C lady come out here for more than one reason. It is costly to have a heating, ventilation and A/C unit repaired, and the second reason that I didn’t want to have a heating and cooling pro to come out here was because the heating, ventilation and A/C corps were all booked up and I knew it would be at least three weeks before I’d be able to get someone out here. So I decided it would be best for me to go and try to do it myself. I told my wife about my idea, and she didn’t want me to do it, however I was confident in my abilities. I had no heating or AC training whatsoever, and I didn’t bother to study or do research like I was supposed to, and in my mind it was the correct idea. Really, I was fortunate that I didn’t totally damage our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C plan by attempting this. Although I did manage to get shocked, it was enough to tell me that I had no idea at all what I was doing. I think I’ll just go ahead and call the pros and wait for them to do it right.
