I’ve had a book about heating and cooling on my to-read list for the past week.
My goal is to enter the heating and air conditioning industry.
The more I considered it, the more I became convinced that I wanted to work as a heating and air conditioning technician. I wanted to return to school and earn my HVAC certification, even though I knew it wouldn’t be simple. After high school, I never attended college because it wasn’t really my thing. I didn’t think it was appropriate for me at the time because I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. College, in my opinion, is only for those who have everything planned out because otherwise, you risk making the same mistakes that so many others have. Going to college without knowing what you want to do results in you choosing a course that you think you want to take but don’t really. What I’m trying to say is that you’re just feeling pressured to do it because everyone else is telling you to. Instead of doing it for yourself, you’re doing it for others. As a result of doing something you didn’t want to do but was forced to do, you wind up thousands of dollars in debt with little to show for it. I am aware of all of this because a friend of mine experienced it firsthand. But after leaving high school and simply working a few other jobs for a while, I really got to know who I was, and I discovered that I was fascinated by the work of heating and cooling. Although I suppose you wouldn’t find it on the list of most people’s dream jobs, I’ve been attempting to repair units on the side because it’s something I’m passionate about. The only repairs that are overseen by a skilled individual are the minor ones. After giving it some thought, I made the decision to move forward. Going back to school will enable me to earn my HVAC certification and work in the heating and cooling industry.
