I don’t know why I find myself doing the same thing every July.
I mean, I grew up in this area.
Of course, I lived way up north for quite sometime and only recently moved back down here. Still, I know what the Summer is like down here. That’s why we made sure that we had the latest in residential HVAC when we bought this house. The previous owner simply wanted to get out of the house. I think there were financial issues. So there was going to be now HVAC replacement or upgrade. Still, with the deal that we got on this place, it was just a no brainer. Doing the renovations was easily worth saving the many tens of thousands of dollars on the house. Knowing what I knew about living in this region, the residential HVAC was the first order of business. I even was able to do business with the same local HVAC company that was here when I was growing up. That made me feel great. And even one of the HVAC contractors for the local HVAC company was a friend from highschool. He was instrumental in getting us the sort of heating and cooling equipment that we wanted and needed. Of course, the new HVAC unit comes with all the latest in HVAC technology which has been awesome. Yet, I’m still sort of stunned by the level of heat and humidity in my return. At least I’m staying really nice and comfortable during air conditioning season. And thanks to the incredible efficiency of the heat pump, it’s not costing me a fortune.
