Today is Monday, and my friend and I are supposed to play music tonight on the pier next to my favorite beach.
Two days ago, we played there and had a lot of fun, so this week, we’ll do it all over again and also try to get into this beach bar near the pier.
More people are going to the beach now that it’s getting warmer, which is good for my friend and me because we can have more fun and get more followers. My friend and I don’t want a million followers, just a nice number so that local businesses can see that we have a fan base. Over the next year, our long-term goal is to get into a regular rotation at the beach bars and clubs in town and make enough money each month to pay the bills. I think my friend and I will do that soon. When we do, my job as a heating and air conditioning tech will be easier because I can cut back on the hours I work for a local company and spend more time on music. My plan is to play in a band for the rest of my life, have fun, and write songs for the whole world to hear. I’d like to work part-time on air conditioners and spend a lot of my nights playing the drum and singing in clubs where the temperature is kept steady. I know it’s possible, but I also know it will take a lot of hard work. That’s fine with me, though, because I care about the craft.
