I went shopping with my sibling last week; I asked him what he was looking for, and he said he wanted a no smoking sign, then there were No Smoking signs all over the store, however none of them suited him… Without him telling me what he wanted, I could not help him.
He finally told me he had a gas leak in his furnace.
He was afraid that if anyone walked into the house and lit a cigarette, the house would explode. I told him he should call the HVAC company instead of looking for No Smoking signs, even though he didn’t suppose he could afford to call the HVAC company. I would have thought he would have called the HVAC company first, and told him so. It was going to cost a lot more if someone had a cigarette when they walked into the house, and he didn’t notice! Not only would he lose his home, even though he could also have some injured, or even dead. He took a deep breath and told me it was time to go home. He was going to call the HVAC company before it was too late for them to come to the house. He wanted the gas leak repaired before any mishaps happened! Later that night, he called and asked if he could stay with me for a couple of afternoons. The gas leak wasn’t in the furnace, however the gas line coming from outside. The HVAC company turned his furnace off and had to have the gas company make repairs before they could turn the furnace back on.
