The other day when we had the HVAC company here to work on the furnace for us, the HVAC technician couldn’t get anything done down in the basement because of my five year old son.
He was just really interested in what the HVAC technician was doing down there in the furnace room and he kept on bugging him.
I thought that it was going to annoy our HVAC technician, but he thought it was really cute that my son wanted to help him out with the furnace. I checked in on them two or three times and I heard him telling my son all about heating units and about how important indoor air quality is in your home. I know that a lot of people think that HVAC technicians and other guys who work in the trades are tough and grumpy all the time, but that’s just not true. In my opinion, and in my experience, the guys who come over to work on appliances and fix things around the place at our house are always really nice and kind. They are even patient and helpful with my kids and my kids can really try your patience sometimes, that’s for sure. Anyway, I thought it was funny that my son kept trying to get the HVAC technician to play games with him but it was nice how he wasn’t mean or grumpy to him at all. Now our furnace is finally fixed and I called the HVAC company to give our technician a glowing recommendation! I really liked that guy.
