Passing on the torch of a professional cooling technician, old school style

My dad is quite the old-school guy. Very straightforward with his dealings, and impossible to let go of traditions. He still believes that your child, or at least one of your children, should take after you, careerwise. And that’s why I am here now. I saw this coming while I was growing up, but however much I tried to sway his mind, he wasn’t having it. Time and again, he would be like son, “I have a house call, do you want in? You can learn a thing or two about HVAC installation!” He didn’t really specialize in any field when he started off, but he is quite the handyman when you need a cooling specialist to help with your indoor comfort. It’s one of the most requested quality AC services, given the kind of weather we experience around here. Although my dad hasn’t retired yet, he plans to do so once his HVAC business picks up. His business is so popular that he has become the go-to local service provider. In fact, he strategically established it to ensure that I join his cooling corporation once I am through with college. And would you guess which course I am taking? Let’s just say I will become a cooling technician once I am through in a few months. However, there is a certification of N.A.T.E that I am eyeing to become an established HVAC contractor one day. I already know my way around most cooling equipment, but I am still struggling to figure out how an electric heat pump works and how to service it. For us, climate control issues run in our blood. I think with my dad’s experience and my knowledge of new and upcoming cooling technology, you can count on us to handle your cooling needs to your satisfaction.
