Maxine has always wanted to purchase a camper van so that she could drive across the country. This had been her dream even as a teen, however it became one of those desires that got placed on the back burner. Well, when the pandemic hit and Maxine began working from home, she viewed it as the time to buy her dream camper van that she has always wanted. So, after shopping around for several months, Maxine found the perfect camper van with enough room for the entire family. She made the purchase in late June, and Maxine made her first trip in July. Well, as you already know, July is properly one of the hottest months of the year. And that Summer was the same. Frankly, Maxine experienced some record splitting temperatures. Due to the high levels of heat, the air conditioner inside the RV could not keep up, which resulted in a few sleepless mornings. After chatting with several camper van owners that she met during her travels, Maxine decided to take some of their suggestions, one included purchasing a portable air conditioner for the camper van. She had never used a portable air conditioner before because 1) Maxine never needed one and 2) she didn’t believe that they worked well. Despite her skepticism, Maxine opted to go ahead and bought one of the best portable air conditioners on the market. And to her surprise, the portable air conditioner became her saving grace. The unit worked so well that Maxine forgot that she was sleeping in a camper van. Since then, she bought two portable ACs for the camper van. Maxine has had the most comfortable experience while she cruises across the country.
