My partner and I just moved into a new home last year, but for the most part my buddy and I have not had any problems with our new home, then however, a couple of afternoons ago I observed a peculiar burning smell, however at first I thought my partner by be attempting to cook something, but she easily tries difficult and I have to supply her credit, although she easily is a bad cook.
After further investigation, I realized the smell was coming from the basement; My nice friend and I don’t use our basement for anything and in the past year I suppose I have only gone down their one time. So, it was time for me to venture down into the basement, and right when I opened the basement door I knew something was wrong, then it smelled like something was one fire, I ran down and observed that our boiler was on. It was the middle of the Summer and I don’t know why the boiler would have been on, I surely didn’t turn it on. So, I asked my partner if she turned on the boiler and she said she couldn’t remember. I started to get sad with her because, she could have burned our home down by turning on the boiler and forgetting about it. I immediately turned off the boiler and called our local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company to come out and make sure there wasn’t any permanent harm to our heater. Thankfully, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company didn’t see anything horrifying. This is a nice lesson to always make sure you know what is going on in your home!
