Despite what some people say, it is quite obvious when a heating and air conditioning machine has been neglected.

A HVAC device that has been neglected will look dirty, have issues, as well as not have a clean air filter. When I go out to homes with heating and cooling problems, one of the first questions I ask is whether they get regular HVAC maintenance. Most of them will assure me that they do, and that they are truly confused as to why their heating and cooling device is not working. But when I look at their air conditioning system, it looks like a HVAC worker hasn’t looked at it in several years. I am not sure why some people lie, but I always make sure to tell them that their heating and A/C system is incredibly dirty and that is why it is not working. Usually after a thorough clean up, their heating and cooling device looks almost brand new, and is working perfectly again. Then I leave and go to the next appointment. Sometimes, I do meet people that take fantastic care of their furnace system and A/C machine, but I feel like they are the minority. To be honest, most people aren’t interested in taking proper care of their heating and air conditioning machines. That is, until the HVAC machine starts having issues, then everyone is concerned for their heater and cooling device. It is slightly annoying, but there is not much I can do about it.
