I favor my aunt. Since my parents died, she has been one of the best people in my life. Their accident happened so quickly that I became an orphan in one night. My aunt didn’t think twice about taking in a scared 5-year-old girl and raising her to be a strong adult. She made sure I fit in perfectly with her family, and now my cousins are more like my brothers and sisters. Even though I work far away, I always try to go to her house and see her. Before I left, I made sure that the furnace and air conditioner were both updated at the same time, which saved us money.
