We are lucky that we have not lost any electricity at all during the storm.
The kids and I have been missing my hubby so much. He has been gone for the last 9 days because of all of the storms that are on the west coast. The storms have brought huge amounts of rain, and snow in the higher elevations. My hubby is an electrical repair contractor. Most of the time he works on the lines that run from the street to the houses and businesses. When there are repairs that need to be made in emergency situations, he is among the electrical repair contractors that are officially needed for the job. He was gone for half of the summer season last year because of hurricanes in the southeast. This is honestly the longest that he has been gone since that time, especially since it is winter. The West Coast does not normally get so much rain. They have had a soaking amount of water. Dams, rivers, and reservoirs are all at their peak amount and spilling over. We are lucky that we have not lost any electricity at all during the storm. We had a couple of days when I thought things were going to be bad, but I was ecstatic to see that we did not lose any power. The worst time for us to lose electricity in our house is when my hubby isn’t there. He’s the guy who handles all of the electrical repairs in our house. If my hubby is gone, I have to contact a regular repair electrician and representative that is not accustomed to my home.
