Yesterday, when I went outside, after work, there were HVAC workers on top of the roof.
At first, I did not see them.
Then I saw something out of the corner of my eye. The guys running around up there startled me at first. I’m not used to seeing men working furiously on top of the roof. The building that I work in is pretty tall, so they looked like little tiny guys up there, wandering around among the large commercial heating and cooling components. Then I looked around in the parking lot and I saw the heating and cooling utility trucks parked below. That’s when it started to make sense. The building had been having problems with the heating and cooling system inside for the past few days. I was happy to see an HVAC company was finally called. Sometimes it seems like building management puts things off until they have to call someone. That was the case in the summer. Everyone in the building was sweltering. The weather outside was really hot. However, nobody in management seemed to care! They didn’t respond. All of us as coworkers needed to do something to get this resolved. We finally had to bring our complaints to the building management. Then they responded. At least now they are being a little proactive with the problem.
