At least once a week I like to visit the flea market on the other side of town.
I probably shouldn’t be buying a bunch of junk that I can barely store in my house a little in my garage, but sometimes I find really cool items.
I’m a comic book collector and I’m always on the lookout for rare or valuable comics from the past. And once I found a good marketplace in which I could sell some of the comics that I find, and became a good side hustle for making additional income. I’m trying to find whatever comics I can in estate sales and also garage sales. You’ll never know what you’re going to find until you look with your own eyes. But it’s not just comics that I’m looking for when I go to flea markets, I’m also looking for practical items as well. For instance, I recently bought a bunch of box fans that I got for $5 a piece. Box fans aren’t as popular as they were when I was a kid, but back then they were essential for circulating air throughout our house. We didn’t have an air conditioner going up so we relied on open windows, doors, and box fans and doorways to circulate cool air and breezes throughout the whole house. That was our form of a ventilation system, just a network of different box fans strategically placed throughout the home. Air conditioner and ductwork in my current home, using box fans in conjunction with the HVAC system leads to better air circulation throughout the home.
