Upgrading to central air

When we first moved into our home, it was not equipped with central a/c.

Because we are located in the northeastern part of the country, a whole-home cooling system isn’t truly necessary.

Our weather tends to be cold, windy as well as wet. It often snows from September until April. My wonderful friend and I might need to run the furnace for eight straight months. There are those years when it rains all summer time long. However, there are also especially tepid as well as humid summers. The home becomes boiling as well as sticky, making it impossible to relax, sleep or be productive. My wonderful friend and I tried getting by with window a/cs as well as a combination of box fans. I didn’t like having all sorts of device detracting from aesthetics. The window a/cs block the view as well as look horrible. The cords from the box fans are a nuisance. I hated storing all of the odd units in the attic in the winter season as well as then carrying them down in the Spring. I finally got an estimate for central a/c. With the duct system already in venue, the cost wasn’t unadequate. By spending a bit more for a higher SEER rating, I chose an a/c that is lovelyly energy efficient as well as keeps running costs low. I’ve found that we tend to run the cooling system even when the outside temperature is mild. My wonderful friend and I sometimes use just the fan to circulate as well as filter the air. The a/c allows us to keep windows closed against pollutants such as exhaust fumes, pollen, buts as well as dust. The home stays cleaner, smells fresher as well as is far more comfortable.
