I feel my buddy and I might be in for some cooling coming from the central a/c in our place! That would particularly be an excellent change up from all of the heating that we’ve dealt with for all this time! Although it’s early July, the gas heating equipment has really only been quiet for maybe six weeks or so, however my good buddy and I live far enough north that the gas heating equipment may kick on for heating even in late April.

A cold front can pass through and bring the evening time temperatures down to the point where the gas heating equipment kicks on. Actually, my buddy and I only uncovered the Heating plus A/C equipment outside in April. And that was so my buddy and I could have the scene set for the Heating plus A/C equipment expert to come do the a/c tune up. My good buddy and I get so much snow and ice over the course of our long, nippy winter time that my buddy and I have to protect the heat pump equipment. That means covering up the Heating plus A/C cabinet alongside the property with a plastic cover! Doing this protects the fragile Heating plus A/C device from the weight of snow and ice. There’s no way I’m investing thousands of dollars into a/c without protecting that Heating plus A/C equipment. And clearly, it wasn’t just the weight of the snow and ice either. When I went to pull off the shell from the Heating plus A/C cabinet, I observed a deep gouge that had been made from an icicle falling straight down on the Heating plus A/C equipment. That was a giant save made by the cover and really saved me an enormous Heating plus A/C service bill as well.
