When we bought this house, it was the first time my wife and I had ever been homeowners.
And since it was just us, we didn’t need all that much room.
Plus, we didn’t have a big budget when it came to getting a house either. So we have enjoyed this two bedroom home for nearly a decade. We upgraded the central air conditioning as one of our first moves. But then, we sort of did home projects as we went along. Before long, we had completely redone the place. And that’s when it hit us that we really needed some more room. I’m working at home inside the central air conditioning from now on. This was a change that became permanent once the pandemic hit. So one of those bedrooms has now been turned into a home office. Our bedroom really wasn’t really suited to our needs as much anymore. But when we first took a look at getting into a bigger place, we knew immediately that this wasn’t the right time in the real estate market to do that. So it made sense to add value to our home as well as room. We got with a contractor and figured out just the right sort of addition we were looking for. He was able to put on a large master suite with another bathroom. We also have a ductless heat pump in the master suite as the central air conditioning of the house is rated just for that air volume. But we really love having the ductless heat pump as it provides great quality heating and air. And now, we just love having all the space we need.
