Man, I really do live with a bunch of animals.
That’s true in a much different way now than it was when I was in college.
Those dudes were in fact animals. But these days, I’m sharing our property with a bunch of animals who need new homes. My wife started bringing home abandoned pets to the central air conditioning of our home. And from there, this whole thing started. My wife would start finding new homes for these animals she found and she was really good at it. I guess news spread because lots of people suddenly were looking to her for help with stray animals. There was only so many furry animals that I could handle living with us inside the central air conditioning of our home. I was all for doing whatever I could to support my wife when it came to this new passion. At the same time, I wasn’t prepared to sacrifice my HVAC equipment to all these animals. There was so much pet dander and fur in the air that it was literally clogging the HVAC filter. It got so bad that I was changing those air filters on nearly a weekly basis. Not only was it hard on the HVAC equipment but it wasn’t all that pleasant on me either. So we ended up putting on an attachment to the garage where we could have all the animals stay. The local HVAC company even came through for us with a ductless heat pump. It was actually a recycled ductless heat pump that had come out of a recently renovated home. Now, it’s providing the heating and cooling comfort a bunch of wonderful animals.
