I am really in major trouble with my bosses.
I’m sad that I might even lose my task over it. Apologising won’t do me any good, because I’ve already said “I’m sorry” various times. If I had a time component I could go back to make better choices, but as it stands I may be screwed – although there is no one but myself to blame. I was sent to the pacific northwest for the biggest trade show plus industry convention of the quarter; Since I was the only rep going from our small Heating plus Air Conditioning dealership, I needed to take a lot of notes plus build some bridges with other regional companies. Instead of trying to focus on heating plus cooling systems, I got distracted by the widespread presence of legal recreational marijuana in that city. I was late to the new product showcase, which means I didn’t get the A/C information my bosses wanted… Far worse, there was a roll-out for a brand new kind of solar powered space heater, plus I went to sleep in the middle of it! This was rude plus disrespectful, but it also made my bosses at the local Heating plus Air Conditioning supplier look bad. If I’m fortunate they will keep me on staff, perhaps sending me to the Heating plus Air Conditioning sales department, where I can’t do much harm. The worst thing about this situation is that I had an amazing time at the Heating plus Air Conditioning convention, but now they will never let me go back. Maybe it wasn’t the heating plus cooling convention that was the best part, maybe it was just all the weed.
