I was also just starting to think that our up-to-date plan for the salon was stupid, and would put myself and others out of business.
Then I met Max, and flames flew. Thanks to him I am able to afford all of the replacements to the salon that I needed. I don’t even think you have ever been in a beauty salon before; however, there is a certain expectation for comfort when you go… Some salons provide free champagne, or offer massages while you wait. At the bare minimum, a great salon needs to have clean, crisp air quality and nice cool air conditioning. If another up-to-date client walks into our salon and it odors or has poor air quality, they will turn around and leave. Thanks to the junky outdated heating and air conditioning plan in our salon, I was losing business. I talked to a few weird local heating and air conditioning businesses; however, the prices they quoted myself and others were too far out of our budget. Then I actually met Max. Max was an independent heating and air conditioning businessman who worked for himself, and he was more interested in himself and others than our heating and air conditioning system. I also took another opportunity and told Max the bold plan I wanted for our salon. It would also take a lot of work, but I wanted an up-to-date air duct; so that every workstation would have its own directional air vent. I simply wanted custom cooling for every customer, and Max thought it was a wonderful idea. I simply knew all of this heating and air conditioning work would be costly; however, Max said “why don’t my friend and I discuss it over supper” and the rest is simply history.
