It’s that time of year again – prom and graduation season.
- This means that all the teens who are of age are gleeful and busy getting ready for the festivities.
Brian’s kids aren’t old enough so fortunately, he has three years before he will be walking down that path with them. Though his kids have no prom or graduations this year, Brian was invited to several graduations and of course, he wasn’t able to make it to all of them. Fortunately, technology and live streaming became the next best thing. It’s not the same as being at the ceremony, however at least it provided a good solution because most graduations are held around the same dates. Anyway, Brian went to 4 graduation ceremonies this year. One was held inside an air conditioned location and the other was set up outdoors. Of course, the ceremony that was in the air conditioned location was a much more comfortable experience. The air conditioned location is a welcoming environment. The ceremony was at 4 in the afternoon and lasted for a little over 3 hours, so it would’ve been excruciating if it was held outside. The outdoor ceremony began at 9 and thankfully, the weather was cool so there were no complaints. At first, Brian thought that was a late start for graduation, however then he understood that it would have been angry standing in the heat with no air conditioning. May is not the hottest month of the year, however he does have mornings where the temperature gets into the high 74s. So, Brian is grateful that whoever planned these graduations was mindful of the comfort of all who were in attendance.
