New home HVAC

My husband, Bill, and I just bought a new home. We have been looking for the perfect place for about two years and haven’t found anything that we really love yet. That was until we found the house that we just purchased. I wanted a older home that we could fix up and Bill loved that idea. We found the perfect three bedroom and three bathroom house that was built in the 70s. It had a big backyard and a lot of room for improvements. We spent the first couple of weeks making minor cosmetic repairs like painting and changing out fixtures that we didn’t like. I knew the next thing we would have to change was the HVAC system, honestly the whole thing needed to be replaced even the ductwork. In order to do this we had to hire a HVAC technician to come over and inspect the house and then give us a quote. I thought the quote we received was very reasonable for the extensive amount of work we didn’t to have done. I know that replacing an entire HVAC system can be extremely costly and I didn’t know if we were going to be able to afford it after just purchasing the house. But, the local HVAC company we called wasn’t try to scam us out of any money, they just wanted to help us out. I really appreciated this and we have decided to keep them as our on call HVAC company. I am happy we will be able to get our new HVAC system just in time for the warm summer weather!
