After what happened almost two years ago to the day, we’re pretty pleased that we did indeed learn our lesson.
But it was a tough and costly lesson to learn.
Two years ago, we were awakened in the middle of the night to the sound of our heating system shutting down. It was rattling and kind of banging around enough that it woke us. Instantly, we knew it was the Heating and Air Conditioning system and we started kicking ourselves. By the time we got down to the basement, we could smell warm metal and we knew for sure the heating system had warmed and shut itself off. Something had gone wrong and there was no way we were going to repair it. Frankly, we aren’t mechanically inclined or handy when it comes to household stuff. And even more pressingly, things that are to do with the heating and cooling inside our beach house belong to the Heating and Air Conditioning experts. But the reason we were kicking ourselves was because the heating system didn’t need to shut down. But we forgot to get heating service last fall as it slipped our minds. So, we ended up with a big Heating and Air Conditioning bill due to the emergency Heating and Air Conditioning repair charge. But the concern itself was a switch that would have been replaced had we gotten the Heating and Air Conditioning heating service done. Well we did learn our lesson and signed up for the Heating and Air Conditioning repair system the next day. So now we’re guaranteed to get Heating and Air Conditioning heating service every fall. And so we’re feeling much better about the heating in our beach house this year than we were last year.
