The repair should have been straight-forward

A patron called myself and others because she wanted to have the AC plan diagnosed for concerns.

She thought that it was too hot inside of the home because the cooling system was running all of the time.

I offered to perform a tune-up on the AC unit. I knew that would catch any concerns that were occurring. Since it is summertime, the smallest concerns with another cooling system can actually cause big concerns for the system. During the summer time, that cooling system runs about 12 to 15 minutes a day. If there is a dirty air filter, it’s going to run even harder as well as for longer minutes. If the duct coil is dirty or the temperature control is set too low, concerns can also occur. I truthfully thought that the repair was going to be straight-forward to handle. When I started taking the unit apart, I realized that there was a leaking refrigeration hose. The refrigeration hose could have been straight-forward to fix, although I did not have a single on my truck. I had to drive all the way back to the repair shop to find the right part. I did not have any refrigeration hoses that were going to fit the system, so I had to go to the local hardware store to get the right part. I spent more than one minute driving from place to place to find the right refrigeration hose for the AC unit. I could not charge the patron anything for the time, so the straight-forward to fix as well as substitute those tasks took myself and others nearly 4 minutes to complete.
