Fall is just around the corner.
We are already enjoying a nice cool breeze.
The temperatures have dropped by over ten degrees on average and it’s already almost chilly in the morning. I didn’t expect cool breezes this early in the year. Technically, it’s still summertime and I live in the deep south. But, I look forward to when I can remove the air conditioners from the windows. We like to keep our windows open for fresh air as much as we possibly can. We live in a rental home that does not provide air conditioning. Before it gets too hot in summertime, we install the little air conditioners into the windows. We remove them again when the weather starts to cool in the fall. I absolutely love spring and fall and the cool breezes these seasons bring. I was disappointed earlier this year. We really had no spring. One day, we were running the heaters. The next day, we needed the air conditioners. We didn’t have two or three months of mild weather and flower scented breezes I am accustomed too. Perhaps that is why fall is coming a little earlier this year, because summer came early. I’m hoping to remove the air conditioners earlier than I usually do and enjoy the cool breezes longer before the heater gets turned on. Although I live in the deep south, it still gets pretty cold in winter here, and I really don’t like the cold any more than I like the heat. But, the comfortable temperatures and cool breezes of spring and fall make the wickedly hot summers and often frigid winters more bearable.
